hunting without a gun... bows, crossbows, catapults? help!?
right im planning on starting hunting, perhaps rabbits, phesant (perhaps) grouse, pidgeon i dunno. thing is my pa wont let me get an airrifle , yeh there might be a problem for phesant though? not sure thing is christmas is coming and the geese are getting fat and i really wanna go hunting dammit! so crossbows theres a cool 150lb one for bout 100 quid, or i could get a junior compound bow for £90 or one of those barnett pro diablo catapults for about £20.
i could get the slingshot sooner cus it think i have 20 quid but its not worth waisting that money if i cant kill say grouse or even rabbits i dunno. or i could get the slingshot now and get a crossbow for christmas. i dunno basically i need someone to tell me what i ought to get so i can catch something to eat for supper.
is it worth bugging my dad till he gets a rifle?
itd probably take 2 months of constant bugging... haha
what is the way forward ?

None of the things you mention are going to work. Basically you need a shotgun.

I guess the wrist rest makes the Chief AJ style of shooting impossible with that slingshot.
