Diablo 2 Cow Level
DIABLO 2 SECRET COW LEVEL!!!!?
please help me understand why i cant go back to it!!!
i beat the game a little more than a year ago and was able to go to the cow level, but now i cant. I went back and killed diablo again and tried it but it didnt work, please help me
Well, it's probably because you killed the Cow King.
Once you kill him, you can't go back to the cow level... Except if you open the portal with one character, and kill him with another or go to another difficulty

Diablo II- The Secret Cow Level
diablo 2 question?
where can i find the writ's leg in diablo 2 so i can go to the secret cow level? i have found it before (on a diff char) but cannot remember were
You can find it in the portal where the stones look like Stonehenge. It's the place where you rescued Caine in the first act. Go all the way to the back, and there should be a dead boy. Click on him, gold will start popping out, and then his leg will pop out.

What you have to understand is that this game was not originally going in the direction of an mmo. It was being designed as an action – rpg with an online component, more similar to diablo 2 model than an mmo, and it was doing a damn good job. Unfortunetly, for whatever reason in the last year of developing this game, they decided to turn it into mmo by changing so many core aspects of the game. That is what unfortunely what led to it being what it is today, a bit of a mess, when it had the potential to become a real classic. :/
Here is a vid from e3 2006 that shows this game how it should have been. Notice Roper saying this is an “action rpg” not an mmo, also how there are not 6 classes (a last minute decision made to cater for an mmo) but rather 3 classes 3 skill trees of the split classes in todays hellgate london.
