Anyone plays Diablo 2 LoD Online?
i want to start playing online.
i played copy of d2 until now, so i dont know how is online playing D2..
is there PvP? how much players are on same map...
plz explain me little about online playing in D2 LoD
The most players allowed in any game is 8. There are many strategies that people have formulated for each character class to defeat other specific character classes.
Personally, I do not duel (never saw the point in it) but if you find enjoyment in dueling be considerate of newcomers to the game that are still learning. The number of players have been dwindling lately (down to about 50k in the U.S.) and killing newbs makes them feel bad about the game so they quit playing. If you do kill them, give them sincere tips on how they could get better.
One other thing that is different in online play is the annihlus charm that Diablo drops in the Stony Field (in HELL mode only) when enough people sell a particular number of Stone of Jordan rings on certain bNet servers. The message appears '6567 SOJ sold to merchants'... then another '6570 SOJ sold to merchants'. The number is always different.
If the message pops up a few times with the number steadily increasing you may be lucky and see a new message which causes your screen to rumble--"Diablo walks the Earth". This Diablo has no minions and is considerably difficult to defeat but he stays in the game as long as the game is open. Once again, this is only in HELL mode.

Diablo 2 wc3 custom map - Den of evil
can't see my comrades name in diablo 2 map?
i can't seem to see my comrades' names on my map in diablo 2, in multi-player mode. my team can see my name perfectly, just not me. what should i do? it use to work when i first installed it. thanks for any help!
It happened to me too and I'm still not sure why.
Luckily i found out if you press escape and go under the automap options there is a way to fix the problem. There are two options one that shows players on the map and the other that shows names. Just turn those back on and it'll be back to normal.
