Need info on graphics card for my husband?

I asked this a minute ago but didnt get the answer I need. I need to know what kind of graphics card to get my husband for Christmas. I really want it to be a surprise so I have to do this on my own. It's HP Pavilion a6460t. I heard something about the motherboard. Interface? What is that and how do I find out which one I have? I really need to know. I would like it if someone would break it down for me (WAY down.. i dont know anything) people are sending me links to things I dont understand. Just need a mid-range b/c he plays WoW, Age of Empires, Diablo, etc.. Also need to know how HDMI plays into that. We just got a new monitor that has it so how do we get it? Please don't talk down to me because I'm not tech savvy.

The thing that will hold you back is power. Your computers power supply is going to be light for most cards that are going to bring his gaming to life. I can suggest this card for not needing a bigger PSU put in. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102792
But if you are willing to spend just a little for a psu and a card, I am sure he can figure out how to install the PSU it is fairly simple...
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130402 9800GX2 $230 shipped, regular price $400
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182032 600W PSU $65 shipped
Now for this set up he will throw his legs around your tight and never let go, until the computer restarts the second time from installing the new grapics card driver...

Diablo 3 interface on World of warcraft

Are these computer specs good enough for my games?

I want to have all the Blizzard Games (World Of WarCraft, BC, WOTLK, StarCraft, Brood War, And StarCraft II for when it comes out, Diablo I, II, III, and Also WarCraft III, RC, FT) in one computer. Are these specs enough to have all that with smooth game play and no super lag moments everything in high settings at least for WoW? If there are better alternatives please let me know with the price ranges. I'm a computer noob. That just wants smooth game play.

Processor AMD Phenom II X4 920(2.8GHz)
Processor Main Features 64 bit Quad-Core Processor
Hard Drive 750GB SATAII
Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB
Graphics Interface PCI Express x16
Power Supply 800W
Operating System Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit
Motherboard Chipset AMD 790X
CPU Speed 920(2.8GHz)
Memory 8GB DDR2

It will play the newer games just fine, but the older ones like Diablo I you may have issues with installing them simply because you are on a 64-bit operating system. If the games use any 16-bit programs for say the installation wizard then you won't be able to install it. But I would rather have a 64-bit system with lots of memory than a 32 bit which limits your capabilities. As far as Diablo III it doesn't have system requirements out yet but you should be ok.
