You quit PC gaming years ago. Do you think you will go back to PC games in the coming years?
You played PC games for years. However, sometime around the release of the PS3/360 console generation, you decided that keeping your gaming computer up to date was either too time consuming or/and too expensive to worth the hassle.
5 years later. Gaming computers are not as expensive as they once were. Do you think upcoming titles like StarCraft II, Diablo III, Battlefield 3 and - who knows - Half-Life 3 may make you back to PC gaming? Why?
upgrading a pc is rarely as expensive than buying a new console, especially when they range around 300-600 dollars.
i honestly can never see myself stopping pc gaming:online games have dedicated servers, something consoles lack. also, some are open source, which means tons and tons of free mods. just look at all the free mods you can download and play just from having hl2 (fortress forever, insurgency, etc).
but with a game like diablo 3 coming out, yes i would go back to pc. of course, since it's blizzard it'll never come out.

Diablo 1 Hellfire "The Hell" mod
Can anybody recommend decent PC RPG games released within the late 90s and early 2000s?
If possible, the RPG you recommend shouldn't be demanding much hardware requirements. If you can recommend me good 2D RPG (not Diablo or Diablo 2) games, that would be better.
I sure can, though it may be tough to run them on the newer operating systems. The Baldur's Gate Series is great. Baldur's Gate 2 and the expansion were before their time. Try Fallout and Fallout 2! Neverwinter Nights(kinda 2Dish look) Dungeon Keeper is good, not technically an RPG) those are good to start, took up alot of my time! hope it helps!
