Lightning Sorceress Diablo 2
diablo 2 question about sorceresses...?

was just wondering.. besides lightning.. what is the best sorc for damage? a kind that does outstanding damage and doesnt get resisted a lot. and whatever u chose, is it more than a poison nova necromancer?

Fire Sorcs are the best in pvm (Player vs. Monster). With Hydra Fireball and meteor they do the most damage out of any of the sorcs. Meteor is great if you are doing meph runs.

In PVP (Player Vs. Player) The cold sorc is the best. With Frozen Orb.

I want a lightning sorceress in Diablo 2...

Can someone just tell me what the max should be for each of these assuming that I am at level 80 with skills points that are no touched...

Strength:
Energy:
Vitality:

What kind of skills should I put 20 points on for a lightning sorc... And if you can also tell me if there are other things I should max out such as warmth or etc...

This is probably because you are running either windows vista or windows 7. You could try right clicking on the shortcut and clicking run as administrator. If that works, right click the shortcut again and go to properties. Go to compatibility tab and tick run as administrator, then click ok. Now when you double click the shortcut it will ask you to run it then start fine. But only if it worked when you ran it by right clicking and running as admin.
This is the most common problem when running games under vista/7, but if it doesnt work search diablo 2 windows 7 compatibility and you should find something of use.

Danny deadhack you have been reported for both answers suggesting deleting the system32 folder

  • Install a new driver for your graphics card and download DirectX 9.0c. Vista comes preloaded with DirectX 10, but 10 is not backwards compatible, so you need 9.0c and 10 installed side by side.

Edit: Dont download all the versions of DirectX. 9.0c is backwards compatible with all previous versions. 10 was the first that wasnt.

I doubt it would be a problem with any other driver besides graphics…
