Socket Item Diablo 2
diablo 2 players please answer?
I'm just getting around to playing diablo 2 while I'm waiting for diablo 3 to come out. It's a cool game. I'm at the end of the game with a level 30 fire sorceress, but I keep getting killed by those sorcerers in hell with the cold spells. What kind of armor should I get with what gems or runes that will resist those cold spells. I have a nice collection of gems and runes. And where is the best place to find the socketed items I will need? Any help will be appreciated.
i believe there are different types of armour that cannot be frozen or half half freeze duration... i like to equip those whenever dealing with enemies that use cold spells. Also consider going back and leveling up....its been a while since i played but i think level 30 might just be too low for those guys...also make sure you have a little helper along with you to take some of the action off your hands

DIABLO 2* What does it mean when I get something that says "attacker takes damage of 19"?
Does that mean everytime a bad guy hits me he takes 19 points of damage?
Since I got to the part where they allow you to put a socket in an item I picked my shield, so should I put the skull in it to give it attacker takes damage of 19 or something to increase my resistance to all? I think it is like 19 resistance to all
Basically I am asking how much that attacker takes damage of 19 will help me.
Yes, that is exactly what it means. Attacker takes damage of 19 means any melee range hit landing on you will cause the attacker to take that much in damage, much like a paladin's "Thorns" aura.
19 damage is not very much, especially in higher difficulty levels. Most enemies have HP in the hundreds or thousands, and you tend to take enough damage after so long that it simply isn't worth the risk. Adding something with resistances is a much better idea, especially since Nightmare and Hell modes reduce your resistances drastically.
