mac book pro vs mac book?
im getting a laptop from apple fully customized 4gig ram 320gig hdd thing is now i have been wanting the mac book 2.4ghz comes to 2224.xx with my customizations im willing to spend only about 2300 as that is alot for a laptop but now i was looking into the mac book pro basically because of the video card 2.53ghz with 512vram i game some what though macs arent the best 4 gaming i would like to play cod 4,5 and diablo3 when it comes out now diablo 3 will play on almost anything as blizzard requirements for games are not much but cod4,5 need alot even on apple it has been shown cod4 playing on the macbook but the mac book runs of regular ram because of the lack of vram take in mind i have a ps3 n 360 and in the making of building a quad core gaming computer but i still would like to bable to play cod4,5 on the go in the car vacation.......
so i ask you dish out the extra 400-600 for the ac pro and wait 4 extra weeks ( pay checks ) or go with the mac book ok gaming small screen
I don't think the [regular] macbook is enough for those games. Considering that the 9400M GT is onboard and its IGP shares RAM with the main system RAM, it's not a great gaming machine. Macbook is alright but its too expensive when you can get something performing better in gaming for a cheaper price. On top of that, you need to buy a copy of Windows for a Mac.
Some of the Gateway FX I seen are around $1200 and they have 9800M GTS compared to Macbook Pro's 9600M GT. If you really want the Macbook [or Pro], then go ahead and buy it. After all, its your money.
I strongly recommend gaming [as in, playing high end games on very high settings] on a desktop...
