what good rpg games that involve satan and/or demons are on the pc?
read title. im talking about a game with swords and armor and stuff kinda like diablo 2 3rd person or 1st person view is fine. Hack and slash plz no mmorpg's
I completely agree with "Nope"! Oblivion is where it's at!!!! Especially on the PC version. You can download User created "mods" that will only enhance the experience. The whole game is about closing these gates to oblivion (hell) and saving the world from a Daedric Prince (Big Bad Demon)!!

Which PC game should I buy?
Two worlds or Gothic 1, 2, or 3?
I've played Oblivion and Morrowind and I have to say I love both games, but like morrowind more. I also have played games like torchlight, titan quest and diablo and I love that hack and slash genre they use. So knowing this which game do you think would be a better choice for me?
I would suggest Fallout 3, same basic gameplay as Oblivion, and especially fun if you like to mod.

Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction Help?
Well, i used to use D2 loader and hack in a lot of other different ways. Anyhow, all my discs are scratched so i cannot reinstall. All i have now is the hacked up c:/program files/diablo II folder. Is there any way someone could take a screen shot of thier diablo 2 directory and post it up here? so i know what to delete from the directory?

If you legally own a copy of the game just perform a fresh install from the discs. It doesn't take long.

Diablo 2 info?
If you havent been under a rock for a couple weeks, you would know that Diablo 3 was announced and it looks great.
Now I wanted to play Diablo 2 to see why so many people loved this game in the past.
I was interested in how the multiplayer worked.
If I wanted to play the game with my real life friends, how would I go about doing that? Also... I heard that hacking is very bad with Diablo 2... how do I avoid that?
Can you play the entire campaign with others?
How many people can be in one game session at once and can all of these people be in one dungeon at the same time?

Come on guys... I know there is someone out there who knows this stuff.
Multiplayer is basically the same as single player without except you can have friends with you. The best way to avoid the hacks is playing on the ladder server. They reset it and all of the characters and update it so most of the hacks no longer work. As you might know, the second that happens, new hacks are in the making. Most of them consist of item duping or other things that don't really bother a lot of people on a major scale. The only way to truly avoid the hacks is just to play with some of your friend or try to find some people online that are fun to play with. I think that there is a max of 8 players in the game at a time and like I said. Basically single player with friends. So the whole campaign is playable online.

Whats the best free MMORPG that isnt always full and isnt just hack and slash but actually requires strategy?
Ive tried Silkroad and it was always full. Runescape is a bore. Isnt there any out there like FFXI that are free. I like some strategy and the option of partying up for quests. Not just a simplistic Diablo type hack and slash point and click.
Ive looked and never found one thats pay or free equivalent to FFXI. 
most the free ones aren't worth the download time :/

Diablo 2 - What are some fast ways to level up a barbarian w/o cheating, bots, etc.?
I have a Frenzy Barbarian completing Act 5 for the first time. I cannot open the Secret Cow Level portal yet.
Wow, people still play that?
That was an awesome game. I never made it to the cows. Playing on "Nightmare" was too extreme.

What does fallout 2 play like on the pc?
Is it like some sorta diablo hack & slash?
It uses an isometric view similar to Diablo but it's turn-based and much more strategic as far as the combat system goes. There's also a fair amount more emphasis on skills, both combat and non-combat. You can get by a lot of the game without even fighting if your speech skills are high enough.
In other words, it's an RPG through and through, not action-based.

How many players does Diablo 2 support on LAN?
I have a lan party tonight and we just beat Dungeon Siege. We want to play a game much like it, but not an MMORPG, because limited internet connection. Can you tell me how many players can be in the same game over a LAN in diablo 2? OR if you know another awesome hack and slash adventure RPG game that would be helpful.
It supports 8 I think. Go download Jamella's Diablo 2 Hero Editor so you guys won't have to start at level 1.

I loved Diablo I and knew about Sierra's "expansion" (Hellfire). I was wondering if anyone knew anything more about it or could direct me to more information about it.

helfire is an expansion for diablo 1, more lvls and more items and stuff. i suggest you wait for diablo 3, that has nice graphics like world of warcraft.

what are the "uber bosses" in diablo 2 expansion?
ive been playing diablo 2 online for about a week now and i keep hearing about people fighting the "uber bossses" for somthing called a hellfire torch or standard thing. can someone plz tell me what thats all about or where i can find info on it. i have a lvl 85 expansion character so i should be able to do what ever they are doing right? im new to playing online
Patch 1.11(August 5, 2005) introduced, among various enhancements and minor bug fixes, another Uber-quest – this time involving all three Prime Evils. All of them must be killed to receive the Hellfire Torch, another unique, untradeable charm.
The Torch however just requires a player able to slay certain bosses on Hell difficulty, which is a much cheaper (albeit, harder) method.

Let's Play Diablo Hellfire (1) broke out in hives
Will I be able to play Diablo & the hellfire expansion on windows xp?
I am thinking about buying the game Diablo and the Hellfire expansion (from around 1997?)for my pc and in one auction on ebay somebody said that some older pc games don't work on xp. They didn't say it about this game but I wanted to check to see if anybody knew if I could play it on xp. Please tell me:
-are you able to play it on windows xp?
-if not what can I do to fix the problem?
- has anybody reading this had this problem, explain.
Thanks, when I read that I just wanted to check and make sure that if I bought it I would auctually be able to play it.
You should be able to play Diablo w/ the Hellfire expansion pack on Windows XP with little to no problems.
HOWEVER, if some problems to occur, you should try compatibility mode to see if it's just an XP thing. To access compatibility mode, just follow these steps.
1) Right-click on the game's icon (shortcuts are OK) & go to "Properties"
2) Click on the "Compatibility" Tab
3) Check on the "Compatibility Mode" & select "Windows 98/ME" from the select box (as Windows 98 is the closest OS available when the game was released).
4) Hit OK & try the game again!
If that doesn't work, visit Blizzard's website ( http://www.blizzard.com/diablo/ ) for help. You'll most likely will need to install the latest updates for the game, which should remedy most problems.
If problems still exist, contact Blizzard (at the address above) for tech support.
