You're out of date with the patch.
I don't think you can play it on battle net if it's cracked, there's always the LAN of course

What weapon do I need to finish the first quest of Diablo?
I'm stuck in the first quest of Diablo. I keep getting beat down by huge skeletons with staffs and some creatures in yellow outfits. I can't seem to get past them all to get to what's-his-name's tomb. I don't have a strategy guide for this game either. Although the stategy guide for D2 hasn't done me much good yet. Although I did just start that game as well.
Edit: My character for D1 is a barbarian.
I believe you are talking about king Lorics tomb I think thats how its spelled well anyway you might want to spend some time leveling since the king can be kind of hard but if you'd rather just go then try beating all the skeletons slowly so you only have to a fight a few at a time and try to make them follow you down to the entrence to the tomb becuase the king can bring them back to life this can help keep him from doind so, this is an optional mission and you dont get anything that is needed to finish the game but you will get a good crown from the king and a bunch of items that can potentially be good plus the money and exp aint half bad.

Diablo 2 Necromancer question?
Ok, im creating a nercomancer that specializes in summons, im going to create a big skeleton army, but which skill should I invest more skills into first? Skeleton mastery or raise skeleton.
Invest in Raise skeleton until they provide diminishing returns or until you have 4 or 5. This way you have a decent army to handle those annoying Fallen and protect you from attacking mobs. After that dump points into mastery to make them super-skeles

Why can't I connect to battle.net for Diablo?
I install Diablo (The original) and it will work fine on my XP Home. I click to connect to battle.net and it updates my version to 1.09 and restarts. Once I go back connecting to battle.net, it tells me I have an unknown version. I have PC-Cillin Anti-Virus and Webroot Spysweeper on full alert and, trust me I DO NOT have any viruses that would affect the executable.
Also, I have opened up ports 6112-6119, 116, AND 118 both TCP and UDP to connect via IPX and still nothing. PLEASE HELP!!!
Update: I have already tried uninstalling/reinstalling the whole program from both regular and safe mode.
Plus, I have already tried deleting the bncache and going into the registry to delete the Battle.net registries.
Using the maphack or no-cd-key may effect your ability to sign-in if they finally decided to fix those bugs, but I doubt it.
I'm not sure, my best suggestion would be an uninstall and a completely reinstall. Hey, it's Diablo 1. It's not like you even have to switch cds!
