Best Old RPGs for PC?
I have recently been trying to get into PC gaming. The only problem is, my computer will only play older games. It will play the original Splinter Cell, but that's as demanding as the specs can get. I'm looking into RPGs because I work security and I've watched all my movies. I want a very good one. Preferably with some stealth, but that isn't a requirement(old games may not even have this, I don't know). I've been looking into Diablo II and Fallout 1 & 2, but I'm having trouble finding others. Any help?
I don't have an internet connection.
Diablo and Fallout are amazing games. Some of the best of their time. if you have internet try some of the free MMORPGs out there. I used to play Runescape and Maplestory which are both really addicting. If no internet is available i would go with Diablo. Its just all around amazing. Try ebay often and your local used game store depending on where you live.

Will my new PC work with those games?
I just bought a Dell studio XPS 435MT and here is what it has inside: Intel Core i7-920 processor (8mb L3 Cache 2.66GHz), 6GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1067MHz, ATI RADEON HD4670 512MB, 640GB Serial ATA 2 Hard Drive 7200 RPM, Windows Vista operating system. I bought this desktop for home office purposes but I would like to play some games on it as well. I haven’t played PC games in about 6 years (I remember those good old days of playing Diablo 2 for 18 hours a day ) and since now I have a new computer, I would be interested in checking out the latest games. The games that I am interested in are: Fallout 3, Doom 3, Diablo 3, Crysis, Call of Duty: World at War. I know that some of those games have very demanding system requirements, but do you think that I will be able to play those games on my new PC?

Crysis will work, but only at low-mid settings.
Also, World at War will run fine, but don't expect to run it at 30 fps or higher on max setings. Medium to high and you'll be okay.
Fallout 3 runs great on medium on my PC, which is a little less powerful than your PC.

[Get] Diablo 3 Beta Key Generator - May 18,2011
Making a few upgrades for gaming. Will it be worth it?
I currently have a dell XPS 410 that I bought back in 2007.
Specs are as follows:
Intel Quad Core q6600 @ 2.40GHz
4GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 256MB 8600 gt
Windows 7 64-bit
375 W PSU
I am looking to upgrade from my 8600 to a GTX 470 around black frIday. For this card I'd definitely need to upgrade my power supply as well.
So I basically have a few questions.
My motherboard only has a PCI-e 1.0 slot but the requirements for the GTX 470 says it needs PCI-e 2.0. I've read in other posts that most video cards are backwards compatible and can run on the 1.0 version but at the cost of a slight performance hit.
Would it be worth it to do this upgrade?
How much of a performance hit would it be compared to my Geforce 8600?
What power supply would I need to support this card?
Would cooling be an issue?
I want to play Cataclysm, SC2 and eventually Diablo 3 at reasonably high settings.

I need to correct the person who said it was the wrong slot. The GTX 470 PCI-e 2.0 x 16x will work with the PCI-e 1.0 x 16x slot. They are both backwards compatible, but there'll be some lag in performance. For the PSU requirements, go to Nvidia's web site and it will tell you. The 470 runs hot b/c it was designed that way, but if you have a good air-flow case and adjust the speed fan by using MSI Afterburner under load, the card will be kept cool.
The price will go down b/c of the GTX 580 and ATI's 69XX high-ends coming out soon probably this month or next.

Starcraft 2 & Diablo 3 Questions?
Does anybody know when they are coming out, also does anyone know what the system requirements will be?
No one knows because Blizzard is notorious for their 'it'll get done when ti gets done' attitude. I'm betting Diablo 3 (I'm not a fan of starcraft so I don't really follow it) won't be out for atleast another 6+ months.. There's no way it's going to be released by Christmas time this year, or they would already be advertising it. We've been waiting nearly a year for the 1.13 Diablo 2 patch, if that helps you understand Blizzard and their sense of getting something out at any speed.
As for the requirements, again I don't follow Starcraft, but I have been following Diablo 3 for quite a while now, they have said that the requirements will be very low, probably comparable to the same requirements for Diablo 2, they want the game to be very widely available to people, so they are going to keep the requirements low. Pretty much what I think they're shooting for, is that any computer made within the last 5+ years will be able to run it easily.

Best free online multiplayer game? (Crossplatform)?
Need suggestions. Currently playing Diablo II again over battle.net, but looking for a new game similar or not.
Must meet these requirements:
1. must be free, or really really cheap
2. multiplayer must be over internet, can be a mmrpg
3. Cross-platform ( Mac to Windows )
No world of warcraft. Age of the game does not matter, so it can be really new or old.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!
Aeria games is not compatible with Mac. There are no plans to make them universal either. They just suggest running boot camp or a parallel. Which I can't/won't do.
there is runescape.com where you can make a free account and play 
its based in medieval times and its pretty fun. If you want you could pay $5 a month and become a member which gives you ALOT more stuff. two people can't play off 1 computer but you could add each other as friends and private message them and hang out with them or something. XD

What graphics card should I get?
I need a new graphics card because my Radeon X1300 Pro is a piece of crap. The graphics were fine but it went out on me right away. The games I want to be able to play are:
Second Life:
Graphics Card for Vista (requires latest drivers)**: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or better
OR ATI Radeon 9500 or better
OR Intel 945 chipset
Starcraft 2
Diablo 3
I don't have the requirements yet for Diablo and Starcraft but I assume if I can play Second Life I will be able to play these games. I want to be able to have a smooth playing experience with these games but I don't need the top of the line card either. Something affordable. Maybe under 200? Is that possible? 100 would be even better!

the 3750 is a good card but i would spend the little bit extra and get a hd 3850 which will run about 120 bucks for the agp version and under 100 for the pci-e version.

Looking for a new PC game.?
Im looking for a new PC game that meets some, if not all of the requirements below.
1) Re playable
2) Graphical (unless storyline/game play is unbelievable)
3) RPG, Action, Shooter. (can be based in any time period)
Some games i have played, enjoyed, but am bored of now are:

By the trailers, and just your general knowledge, what would you think the system req for diablo 3'll be?
Ya, I hope I don't have to buy an amazing computer for this, diablo has always seemed to not be a huge computer hog, as in it doesn't require an amazing video card, and what not, yeah just want your ideas on D3's system requirements, thanks.
Blizzard stated that they didn't want the system req. for Diablo 3 to be that high so that a wide range of people could play...whats the point of you create a visually amazing game, if no one has the system to play it? (ie Crysis when it first came out)

will diablo 3 or starcraft 2 run on my pc?
this isn't a question just a statement to everyone out there that thinks they may have issues running these games on your PC. blizzard announced that they are going to make they games requirements about the same as WoW. this means that a vast majority of people will be able to run the game with no issues. WoW can run on almost every PC. now the other thing is why would blizzard do this? they do this so they can satisfy a wide range of gamers. how do you think they make so much money of wow? 11milion people and counting.
the only reason the graphics look so clean is because it is being run on the highest settings possible. average computers will have to beef down the graphics but the game should run fine on any computer with integrated graphics cards. AKA intel pentium, i hoped this helped a lot of concerned people!
You need to:
1) State your PC specs (GHz processor, graphics card, RAM, etc.)
and
2) The Intel Pentium isn't a graphics card, its a processor.

Does anybody have an idea of what they will be?
They will be low... They already said they're working to make sure a large range of computers can run it.. Other then that, no... It's pretty rare you find out a games requirements before a release date is even given.
