What is the best type of Sorceress in Diablo 2?
I just got Diablo 2 and I wanted to play and beat it before Diablo 3 gets out. I'm starting a Sorceress and am looking for some good tips. I wanted to start a lightning sorceress but have been told they are terrible. Is that true?

what are you trying to accomplish?
cold sorcs are generally used for magic finding.
fire sorcs cause a high level of consistent damage. very ideal for questing, and pvp
light sorcs have the highest attack damage capability, but also the lowest. i've seen some with like 6-48k damage on one attack. nice for doing hell chaos//baal runs (with conviction :/)
figure out what you are wanting to do with her, THEN make her.

In Diablo 2 LOD does anyone know of a godly fire sorc build?
I need to know where i need to put my skills and stats and what equipment to use.
Sorry, there is no "Godly" fire sorc. Everyone got nerfed in the last few patches. I'd go with frost. Blizzard and Frozen orb. The gear doesn't matter much until you're 60+ but some Tal, Shako, Ali Baba/Occy and lidless wall. I haven't played in a little while so there could be some new gear.

diablo 2 character choice??
hi, i will be starting a lightning sorc and i was just wondering how light sorces are. what are they best at? do you think if they have godly gear with infinity on merc, they can uber maybe? Also, i hear about warrior-monks (assasins) . If i can afford the best gear for them can they do ubers? ( please also give gear if you know whats best). and these warrior-monks, what build are they? thanks so much!
i happen to have no life (besides diablo2) with sorcs it is nearly imposable to beat ubers. with assassins it is a posability to do ubers but ive only ever met one assassin who could and it was spec. built to do that. the best chara to do ubers with is a pally zealer i think. i know its a pally tho

Diablo 2: I have a frozen orb sorceress that I need help with skill decisions. I want to make her duel skill.?
I have maxed on frozen orb, cold mastery etc. . . I need suggestions on what other element to build up (fire or lightning) and also what exactly to put points into i.e. hydra, meteor, chain lightning etc. . .I am also wondering what the best armor skill is to have frozen armor, shiver armor, or chilling armor? Thanks for the help.
I would go for the fire element. Since you are ice and able to freeze enemies you can take the time to nuke them to pieces with fire, plus warmth is always a great skill choice! I never did like the Hydra, so I would skip over that, but pick up meteor for sure! Go for whichever armor freezes the enemies after they hit you. That is so much more helpful than just slowing their movements.
